Flowers can be beautiful, but a large part of the beauty is in the way they are arranged. I’ve had to take enough cheap flowers out of their carrying bag and put them in a vase to know that they never look as pretty in the vase as they did when they were arranged in the bag.
Many of us do not have the knack for flower arranging, but we still want to find a perfect flower arrangement for those occasions when we do give flowers. The problem is that the large beautiful arrangements that we would like to give are incredibly expensive. How can anyone find flowers that will make a perfect gift, yet won’t empty your wallet?
Department Store Creativity
It’s easy to think that the best flower arrangements come from professional florists, but the truth is that most people will be so glad to get flowers that they aren’t going to look at them closely enough to know if they came from the florist or the grocery store. Grocery store flowers will almost always be cheaper and easier to come by. You can also get flowers by going to your local garden store or nursery and buying some to plant in pots. Again this will probably be a fraction of the cost that the florist would charge, you can add a few personal touches to make it spiffy, and potted plants will last much longer than flowers that have been cut off from their plants. Another option would be to go to the craft section of the store and find the artificial plant section and collect flowers and greenery there to make your own arrangement. It will take a little more time, but your friend will get a personal arrangement at a fraction of the cost to you.
Go Artificial
The really nice thing about artificial flowers is that they always look great. They’re also easy to care for and impossible to kill. The arrangements may be slightly more expensive (or cheaper if they haven’t sold well and are now on sale), but the quality and durability more than make up for it. Artificial flowers can be included in places where living flowers cannot go. You could ask for them in party bags 2 go, or put them in basements and interior rooms where there is no natural light. A perfect flower arrangement is one that will be versatile enough for any conditions and cheap enough to give away to people.
